YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026

This policy explains how the Git Ghost website operator handles information submitted through the Git Ghost website. It applies to this website and its waitlist and privacy request forms. It does not describe Git Ghost software that may be developed separately.

Information collected

  • Waitlist: your email address, the version of the consent text you accepted, and the time your request was recorded.
  • Privacy requests: your email address, request type, message, and the time received.
  • Abuse prevention: the hosting service supplies a network address for a short-lived rate-limit key. The application hashes it together with a secret salt; it does not store the raw address in the application database. These keys expire within one hour and are removed during routine database cleanup.
  • Hosting: OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver, operate, and protect the website. Cloudflare D1 stores the form records for this deployment.

How information is used

When you select Join Private Alpha, you consent to storing your email to manage your early-access request and send your alpha invite code by email within 48 hours. Code delivery is handled by the website operator; no invitation email is sent automatically by this form.

Privacy request information is used to review and respond to the request, including verifying that the requester is connected to the email address before taking action when appropriate. The website does not collect your repository, source code, agent prompts, or agent files.

Storage and service providers

Waitlist and privacy request records are stored in Cloudflare D1 through this website’s hosting configuration. OpenAI Sites operates the hosting layer. These providers may process technical information as described in their own policies. The website application does not set analytics or advertising cookies or track visitors across sites; its application-level tracking behavior does not change based on browser Do Not Track signals. This does not describe provider-side technical processing, which is covered by the providers’ own policies. The website operator does not sell submitted information, use it for advertising, or share it for third-party marketing.

Retention

Waitlist records are retained while the waitlist remains active, unless you ask for deletion or the waitlist is closed. Privacy request records are kept while the request is being handled; the operator can then delete them. Rate-limit keys expire within one hour and are removed on subsequent writes or owner-dashboard access as part of routine database cleanup. Hosting providers may retain technical information under their own policies.

Make a privacy request

Use the form below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with an email address, or to ask a privacy question. You can submit a request without an account. The operator may ask you to verify control of the email address before acting. Submitting a request does not automatically delete a waitlist record.

Up to 2,000 characters. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information.

Security and changes

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect submitted information, but no website or storage system can guarantee absolute security. This policy may change as the website changes. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated effective date; material changes will be announced on the website before they apply.
